Is This Real Life?!

This week has been crazy!! I can't believe I'm here and actually out in the field! Finishing up at the Preston MTC and moving to serve in the Kingston area has been an exciting ride!  I will definitely miss all the missionaries at the MTC, my comp, the teachers and the great spirit felt there, but moving out to the field is exciting.

My companion is Sister Phermsin she is my trainer for the next 12 weeks! She's so insightful, and has the cutest Finnish accent. She's half Thai, half Swedish, and grew up in Finland. She was baptized only 2 years ago, and I am so motivated by her sweet spirit and enthusiasm to do the work.

We've done a ton of street contacting because we haven't had enough funds to buy a bus pass til today.  Thursday we walked 4 hours to get groceries - yes, 4!  It was a great opportunity for us to stop lots of people and ask for directions because both of us are new to the area. Plus, England is so beautiful and the weather has been awesome! It's so fun to be apart of the British culture here.  Most people we stop say they are not interested, but we still give them a pass-along card.  Those little things are the best.  Even if they don't want to hear the message from us, they have a way to learn more by going online.

I feel so blessed to be put in such a great area and ward.  The Bishop and ward members are so enthusiastic about missionary work.  It's going to be a great 12 weeks here in Kingston!
