Moves!! - And Lost Sheep Round 3

Ah!! These past 2 weeks have been CRAZY!! I apologize for the delayed post. This past transfer was only 5 weeks long so moves crept up on us and Sister Smart ended leaving me to Torquay on Monday after our Branch BBQ.  It was a sad farewell but I'm so so grateful for the time I was able to spend and serve with her. She will do a great job down on the coast! On Tuesday we rode up to Staines and I got assigned my new companion who just came from the MTC!! She is the greatest and I already love her so much! Her name is Sister Nelson and she's from Utah! Whoo! Utah girls have to represent out here in Salisbury I guess. :) She's my first American companion and I'm really grateful to be serving with her!

Despite all the moving around, we've seen some great miracles this week.  On Friday we spent the day in Tidworth and it was pouring buckets of rain.  We had our rain coats and umbrellas out as we went door to door trying to contact some PI's with not much success.  On our way back into town, we stopped a lady with her two young daughters and handed her a soggy pass along card.  She looked at it and looked at it.  We asked if she'd ever heard of our Church or Mormons before and she said "I am one..." WHAT?! I LOVE when this happens!! My favorite! She told us she had come over from the Caribbean and wanted us to come back this Thursday! We couldn't believe it, but we were so happy!! I can't wait to meet with her again!

Also this week, we got a new branch presidency. Our meeting was packed on Sunday and we had 2 investigators at church!! We were so happy to have them there and they were able to make some good friends amongst the members - especially afterward at the Munch & Mingle.  Those events are so great for missionary work and really help our investigators feel comfortable and welcome. The work is moving right along in Salisbury and I love it here!

Scripture of the Week: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." -John 16:33
