What a great week it's been and the weather to match! It has been fabulous. We got to do some service this week for the Taylor Family in our branch. They are amazing and take really good care of us. We got to help paint one of their bedrooms which is my favourite form of service I think. :) We also got to go on exchange with the sisters in Weymouth so it was good to see them and work with them.
The highlight of the week was meeting and teaching Hannah and Simone! They are so cool!! We met them in the park on Tuesday, set up an appointment for Wednesday and taught them the Restoration. At the end of the teach on Wednesday we asked if they knew anyone else that might be interested to hear our message. They told us that they had posted on Facebook that they had actually met Mormon missionaries and one of their friends said he wanted a Book of Mormon too! So we set up another teach for Thursday and not only did their one friend show up but 3 others! It was so great to meet all of them! They all took a Book of Mormon and we're excited to meet with them again for a Cottage Evening coming up on the 21st. :) We're really grateful and excited to continue teaching them.
We had another miracle in our branch with the Spencers. Brother Spencer been looking for a job for a few weeks but with no success. We've heard from a few people it's hard to get a job in Salisbury anyway. But we all decided it would be best if we all fasted to help him find a job over General Conference weekend. Later in the week he found the job he was looking for! What an amazing answer to prayer and fasting. I know the Lord hears and answers our prayers. He cares about us and wants the best for us. Although this answer was quite immediate, I know that He will always provide a way if we're living worthy and have faith to ask for His help no matter how long it takes.
Scripture of the Week: "In the beginning was the gospel preached through the Son. And the gospel was the word, and the word was with the Son, and the Son was with God, and the Son was of God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made which was made. 4 In him was the gospel, and the gospel was the life, and the life was the light of men; 5 And the light shineth in the world, and the world perceiveth it not." -JST John 1:1-5
